Asia's No. 1 GMRT (Khodad)

Asia's No.1 GMRT Satalite is in Khodad. There is a distance of only 25 Kms. between Khodad and Lenyadri.

NCRA, a center of the school of natural sciences of the TIFR, has set up a unique facility, the Giant Metrewave Radio Telescope for radio astronomical research at metre wavelengths.

GMRT is a very versatile instrument for investigating a variety of radio astrophysical problems ranging from nearby Solar system to the edge of observable Universe.

Shivneri Fort

Shivneri fort is the historical place near Lenyadri. Located 5 Kms. away from Lenyadri. It is a birth place of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaja.

Shivneri is a prominent fort in Maharashtra due to its historic importance. Shivneri more than a trekking destination is popular as a weekend picnic destination and a 'pilgrimage'.

Nane Ghat Caves

Nane Ghat is also very nice place to visit. Specially in rainy season we can see amezing scene of nature. It is 52 Kms. away from Lenyadri.

Naneghat is a mountain pass in the Western Ghats range near Junnar in Pune district of Maharashtra.

The name nane means “coin” and ghat means “pass”.The name is given because this path was used as a tollbooth to collect toll from traders crossing the hills. While going through Malshej Ghat, we can easily get a glimpse of Naneghat after Murbad.

Ashtavinayak Ozar

Ozar is a one of the devitional place among the Ashtavinayak. It is 12 Kms. away from Lenyadri. The main attraction of that place is Boating.

Ozar is located about 85 km from Pune, off the Pune-Nashik highway and about 9 km north to Narayangaon.

Along another Ashtavinayak temple of Lenyadri, Ozar is located in the Junnar taluka of Pune district.[4] Ozar is situated on the banks of Kukadi River close to the Yedagaon dam built on it.[2

Bhandardara Dam

Bhandardara Dam is situated 65 Kms. from Lenyadri. It has fresh surrounding, dam as well as waterfalls.

Bhandardara is situated at an altitude of 750 m on the banks of river Pravara. The place is known for its natural beauty and its soothing environment.

Bhandardara provides plenty of opportunity for small treks and hikes for adventure lovers. The most interesting and exciting trek is the small trek to Ratangad Fort and Harishchandragad fort.

Manikdoh Dam

From Lenyadri Manikdoh Dam is 12 Kms. away. It has a beautiful greenery as well as the area of this dam is very beautiful.

Manikdoh Dam, is a gravity dam on Kukadi River near Junnar, It is 2nd biggest dam in place after the Pilpalgaon Joge. Manikdoh has been situated in location enclosed by Sahyadri varies.

Bhimashankar Jyotirling Temple

Bhimashankar is one of the very holi place among 12 jyotirling. It is located 75 Kms. from Lenyadri.

Bhimashankar is the source of the river Bhima, which is known as Chandrabhaga in Padharpur.

Bhimashankar is an ancient shrine situated in the Sahyadri hills in the state of Maharashtra. It is one of the well known Jyotirlinga, amongst the twelve jyotirlingas situated all over India.

In recent times it has gained tremendous significance since it was declared as "WILD LIFE SANCTUARY".

Malshej Ghat

A nice view of valleys is one of the major attraction here. It is 21 Kms. away from Lenyadri.

It is also famous for dark woods and the animals inside. These animals includes tigers, leopards, rabbits and peacocks etc.
The birthplace of legendary Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, The Shivneri Fort is not very far (approximately 40 km) from Malshej Ghat.

The monsoon months of August and September are a good time to visit Malshej Ghat, with green hills and exotic flamingos visit this area during monsoon months.
